Oh, Instagram … you scrolling visual collective of charming photographs … you’ve been a slow burner to many but I’ve loved you from the start. I always knew you’d become one of the big boys, and I think it’s safe to say you are here to stay.
Yep, I’ve been sharing my snaps on Instagram for over four years and watched it evolved into this stunning platform of incredible snaps. We’ve gone from the super-hyper-overfiltered trends of 2011-2012 to a place where the finest photographs are shared. It’s been inspiring to find how some Instagrammers have really taken this platform to carve out a creative, visually-rich portfolio to share with followers.
For Friday’s #BEDM topic we are talking about photography so I’ve decided to share with you some of my favourite folks on Instagram.
In the spirit of Instagram let’s just let the photos do the talking, yes?
Hecktic Travels (follow here)
Long-term slow travellers, this couple share the most inspiring and wanderlust-inducing photographs.
Moderosa (follow here)
Beautiful fashion, beauty and lifestyle photography all with a strong monochrome aesthetic.
Marte Marie Forsberg (follow here)
Beautiful photography from a Norwegian photographer living in a 200 year old thatched cottage in Dorset.
World of Wanderlust (follow here)
Traveller extraordinaire, Brooke has been on the road for a few years now and takes striking and inspiring snaps of travels all over the world.
Shaneen Rose Photos (follow here)
There’s a lovely dreaminess about Shaneen’s photographs. Unsurprisingly as a pro photographer, her compositions are brilliant.
Kendi Everyday (follow here)
One of my fave style bloggers. Kendi is the epitome of effortlessly stylish and cool.
Bright Bazaar (follow here)
I think Will was one of the very first people I ever followed on Instagram a few years ago. If you love lots of colour and style, then this is the Instagram account to follow.
Circle of Pines (follow here)
Earthy, intentional living and craft – the photographs on this account have a real focus on the outdoors and nature.
Capture by Lucy (follow here)
Lucy’s photography and styling skills are so inspiring. She is one of the loveliest bloggers I’ve met and a joy to read her postings.
Alison Chino (follow here)
Based in Scotland and a fan of walks, Alison’s account inspires me to really appreciate and celebrate the British countryside.
Here Comes The Sun (follow here)
I used to follow Amanda’s blog a few years ago and always enjoyed her bright, optimistic photography. So I’m equally excited by her gorgeous Instagram feed.
All of these Instagrammers have their own style and my taste is quite eclectic, but I must say it is one of my my not-so-guilty pleasures to spend my mornings and evenings aimlessly scrolling through my feed.
And of course, I’m moderately proud of my Instagram feed (follow here) which I’ve putting a lot of effort into this year.
