Why break one fashion rule when you can break them all?! Apparently you are not supposed to mix brown and black or blue and brown or something blah blah blah … well, I’m breaking whatever that rule is. I’m wearing blue, brown and black and no-one can stop me. Yeah! I like it.
Did you know that I like emails that go something like this, “Dear Elizabeth, we like your hair, you’re so awesome, we want to send you a pretty bag” … those email are pretty rad. Not long ago the lovely folk at Nica said something along those lines (although probably without the hair comment). They popped a Nica satchel into the post and I’ve been giving it a test drive for the past month.
The Alicia satchel has approximately a zillion compartments which makes it very useful if you like to carry half your belongings around with you. There is the main ‘bag’ which has a flat base, ideal for someone who carries their DSLR everywhere with them. Then there is a zipper pocket at the rear. A phone pocket at the front. And then two more zipper compartments at the front. One compartment features a card holder section. It’s all very utilitarian actually, but you would be able to tell that from the outside!

This past weekend I was up to my elbows in STUFF as the boyf and I were sorting through all our boxes of belongings which are currently in storage. We are trying to cut down on unnecessary stuff, only keeping that which is useful or beautiful (thanks Mr Morris). It was proper exhausting work and we still have loads more to do. But we are determined to be super organised with our belongings – cue many more future weekends of sorting. Not that glam, but very satisfying.
Still, I wore this outfit for lunch on Saturday before we got down and dirty in the garage (obviously I changed into something more suitable for that).
Sometimes a girl just needs a cute dress and a pair of heels to make her feel good.
