Blog Every Day in November

Back in May this year I set a challenge to blog every day for the month. It was just a little idea I had to boost creativity and help my fellows Bloggers get out of ruts, get inspired or just get blogging. It was so much bigger than I had anticipated it to be with over 200 Bloggers signing up for the challenge. When is the next one everyone asked? Well, six months on we are now gearing up for our next blogging challenge, Blog Every Day in November.

Every day in the month of November I aim to blog every single day. That is 30 whole posts. Yep. Quite the challenge. And I’m inviting anyone else who has a blog to join me in the challenge.

So if you fancy some blogging fun, or you’re stuck in a blogging rut, or you’re looking for some blogging inspiration, this is the place for you, my friend!

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can’t blog every day?

This is meant to be a fun challenge so don’t stress if you miss a day. It’s the taking part that counts. The aim is to blog every day so just try your best!

What if the topic isn’t suitable for my blog?

The topics are totally optional, they are meant to serve as a guide. If you have something else totally rad to write about instead, do that. The main aim is to blog every day, not necessarily follow the topic calendar.

How shall I interpret the topic?

Try to be creative and use the topics as a springboard. Think of alternative ways to blog such as photo diaries, lists, poems, video blogs, mind maps, illustrations.

Oh-em-gee … this blog post isn’t perfect, I’m too scared to publish it!

This is more of a statement than a question, but was repeated plenty last time. I say publish away. I’ve sometimes been surprised by the response to some of my less favourite blog posts in the past. You never know, so just get the posts out there. The more you blog, the better it will be.

Hey! I can’t see the full topic details on the Google calendar?!

You need to hover or click on the topic to reveal the rest of the topic title and the prompts. I recommend saving the calendar to your own Google calendar so you can visit it easily every day.

How can I find fellow BEDN-ers?

Check out the google docs spreadsheet above with all of the participants listed there. To find them on Twitter check out the BEDN twitter list I have set up. And follow the #BEDN hashtag for the conversation.

I’m up for the challenge again!
And it’ll be a bit more of a challenge this time round as three weeks of my November is taken up with the Somerset Carnival season and my other website (http://carnivalphotos.zenfolio.com).
I’ll give it a jolly good go though – some of the topics are perfect for ideas I’ve already got planned for next month anyway! 🙂 x

I would have done this but I’ve done October instead! Two months is definitely too much for me to handle 😉 xx

I was actually thinking of doing something like this, but I’d rather do it as part of a community instead of on my lonesome so count me in! 🙂 I am in a bit of a rut and can’t get my blogging head on, so I am going to use this as something to forward plan and get my mojo back. 🙂 xxx

I was thinking of doing something similar but I would rather do it as part of a community than do it on my lonesome so count me in! 😀 Got myself in a bit of a rut and losing enthusiasm lately so this will be something I can plan ahead for and help get my blogging mojo back! YEY!! x

I’m in! I’ve been looking for new inspiration and ways to write about different things, so this is perfect. I’ve had a read through all the topics and there are some good ones in there… I wonder if I’ll manage all of them?!

  14. 23 October 2013 / 9:47 am

I am SO excited about this – and reading everyone else’s. I’ll be out of this blog rut in no time. Better get scheduling this weekend. May even get brave enough to make my first video

Just signed up! The list of topics is great, and as I’ll be in the middle of moving to a new home, there are plenty of things that will help me find a new sense of ‘place’ in a new location. It’ll also be a great push to get me to find a bit of time to blog more and find a bit more community and more new blogs to read too! Hurray for all that… 🙂

Thanks for hosting this challenge. I’m hoping it helps me to get my blogging muscles back on track. I find that I get sucked into the Twitter-vortex and my blog suffers.

repeats: Blog first, tweet later. Blog first, tweet later. Blog first, tweet later….

Looking forward to following along and reading everyone’s entries!
