Blog Every Day in May

Are you a Blogger? Do you ever suffer from Writer’s Block? Do you sometimes get into a bit of a Blog Rut? Do you need to freshen up your Blog with new content? Well, you might just want to get involved with my Blog Every Day in May challenge. For one whole month, every single day I will give you a new topic for you to blog about. Yep, that is 31 days worth of blog posts. Phew! That sounds like a lot, eh? But it’s totally do-able.

Why?

I have had many a conversation on twitter with fellow Bloggers talking about ruts and blocks. And after doing the Vlog Every Day in April project with Savvy Sexy Social, I decided to do something similar with Blogging. You see, one of the things I most enjoyed about the vlogging is that I really got to know people through their videos. Talking about just the simplest of topics could really reveal a lot about that person. And in my experience readers really respond to personality in a blog.

How?

If you want to get involved all you have to do is sign up below so we can all follow one another and encourage each other through this Blogging challenge. Then just save the calendar of topics to your Google Calendar and you’re all set for May. Sounds simple? Well, it is. Yep.

Topics?

There are 31 different topics assigned to each day of May. You can interpret them however you like, maybe with some writing, maybe with a photo or maybe even a video? You could throw together a collage, draw an illustration or write one sentence. You can even throw the topic out of the window and blog about whatever you fancy that day. The point is to get your creative juices flowing and start sharing with your readers.

awesome. I still have my 16 year old email address floating about too, ha!

For some reason it’s not automatically populating the spreadsheet. hmmm… Sorry, I’ll try and work out why.

  4. 25 April 2013 / 10:30 am

Great idea- I’ve just got back into blogging and started a new blog so committing to this will keep me right on track with getting used to posting again! 🙂

  5. 25 April 2013 / 11:32 am

Been very lazy with blogging so this will hopefully kickstart me! Quick question, I’m possibly being an idiot but should there be stuff in the calendar yet, it’s just showing as blank to me

    • 25 April 2013 / 11:37 am

      Hi!
Yes it should be showing topics from 1st May. Are you viewing via phone or laptop?
      X

      • 25 April 2013 / 12:54 pm

Have tried viewing on my desktop at work and on my phone. Calendar appears in my calender list but nothing in it?!

        • 25 April 2013 / 1:13 pm

Ooh, that’s not right. I’ll have a look again at the settings and get it fixed. Thanks for letting me know.

  6. 25 April 2013 / 1:16 pm

This is really exciting! I tried my own blog challenge to blog every day in February, but I ran out of steam. I hope the daily topics will keep me motivated! I’m also not seeing anything in the calendar and I’m at my desktop….

  7. 25 April 2013 / 2:57 pm

So excited for this – can’t see topics either though via my phone or laptop (using Chrome on laptop if that matters?)

Hey everyone! Sorry, there appears to be a glitch on the calendar. I’ll get it fixed tonight when I’m back on a computer.
Check back tomorrow for the topics and it should be there.
    Have a great afternoon!

Thinking about the blogging challenge – it’s a great concept. However, in the meantime, I love your header font! Creampuff FTW!

I’m loving the look of this! I post about 3-4 times a week as it is, so I think I’ll use your prompts to fill in those extra days… This way it’ll take me longer than one month to get through them all, but maybe I’ll manage to blog every day for May AND June 🙂

  19. 29 April 2013 / 2:21 pm

It is an awesome idea . Girl , I am participating . I am sure it is gonna be fun!!!!!!!!!

Very excited to get started….love the look of the topics, and great to see a few things in there that I’ve been wanting to write about for ages anyway!

    Good luck everyone!

    Thanks
    Teresa x

    • 30 April 2013 / 1:38 pm

      Hey Teresa,
Are you clicking on the actual topic in the calendar? It should bring up a box with the topic description along with the option to view more details and to save the calendar?

Oh I wish I could do this. In fact I was a click away from signing up but May ’13 is the last month of my degree and I really shouldn’t. I’m going to be following all of you and definitely giving this a go next time!

  27. 30 April 2013 / 8:28 pm

This will be fun. I’m trying to really challenge myself with a few challenges at once so I hope I don’t fall flat on my face. I’m going to try and use the topics to match the theme of love and relationships on my blog.

Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for setting this up! I totally fell off track and was a little snarky about the exercise, but I sincerely want to thank you for putting it out there. You did a great job putting this together! I got my best friend to do it, too, and she took it much more seriously than I did.
