#Blognic on a Sunday

#Blognic – a picnic for Bloggers. This is how I spent my Sunday afternoon.

This weekend was a rather higgedly-piggedly one, with last minute let-downs on accommodation, rain, broken bags, miscommunication and sharing a bed with 2 other people. But there was some lovely moments too, and Blognic was one of them.

I met Hannah and Ray at the station, we were all running late, and I was feeling a little frazzled from the night before (impromptu barbeque and too much vodka). We legged it across Regents Park, and in the distance we spotted the bunting swaying from the trees (got to love a Blogger cliche). The three of us rocked up in our vintage dresses (more Blogger cliches abound), spread out the enormous crocheted picnic blanket that Hannah brought, and then forgot about it for the rest of the day as we mingled with all the lovely Bloggers.

I am afraid that is all I have for photographs from yesterday, I was just so caught up in chatting to all the lovely new people I had just met that I forgot to get snapping!

It was really great to meet some Blogging friends in real life and to find new blogs I have yet to read. I fear I might have talked some people’s ears off about moving to WordPress and my travels, eeek! (I talk a lot when I get nervous). But I am proud of myself for getting involved yesterday as I am normally quite shy when I first meet people.

A huge thanks to Lynne and Ellie for organising such a lovely event. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Regents Park. I hope we can all do it again sometime!

I hope they do this again next year because I’m determined I’m going next time – meeting bloggers is the best and I’ve hardly met any… boo. Looks like you had a great time 🙂

Oh it looked fab! So glad you enjoyed it. I’m quiet when I meet new people so it sounds like you will be perfect when we meet in July; you can yabber away to your hearts content! : )

haha….I doubt it will take us long to get yabbering away.

Looks like you had such a great day for it – I’ve never met up with any blogger before, think I’d be incredibly nervous and shy. Glad you had a great time.

I was and still am nervous and shy, but I am trying to force myself to face it a bit. It is worth it!

I’m always unsure if I count enough to go to these things. Glad you went and were able to chat to people and have a good time.

    • Elizabeth

Of course you count! This one was supposed to be for design/craft bloggers but I just went along anyway. 🙂

P.S. I say “rad” all the time too 😉

    • Elizabeth

Lovely meeting you too. And amazing to find someone else as mad about the word rad as me!
